Visit Scotland:
Road to the Isles
It's no secret that we love the Western Scottish Highlands, so when we were approached by Visit Scotland to create promotional videos for regions in the Lochaber area we jumped at the chance. First up was Road To The Isles, covering the area from Fort William out to Mallaig and the Small Isles beyond. The focus for this film was slow tourism; promoting a sustainable visit for those who like to explore outside of the usual tourist calendar.
The other aspect of the shoot covered the West Highland Peninsulas; from Ardgour out to Ardnamurchan point. This video focused on showcasing the wild and remote landscapes of the West Highlands as well as the people who live there; highlighting the different pace of life and activities on offer for those who visit the area.
We coordinated all aspects of production, meeting with the two teams in advance of the shoots and working alongside a production manager from Visit Scotland. There was a lot to be captured and the project included coordinating people to feature, being on hand to film when we had the best of the weather (our drone would argue if any of the weather we had during the shoot could be called "good") and of course utilising the stunning landscapes in the best light.
